Artist's Comments

I decided to change my drawing technique a little. All of the shading was done with hatching and cross-hatching rather than my normal smooth shading. I hope you all like it. Lots of detail, so full view, please. ^_^

Usual suspects:

Mechanical pencil on white card stock.

Wow. It's not what you usually see with anime. The dots around stuff is a really nice touch! And the shading looks great!

Lovely! X3 however (if you don't mind me saying..) I think the lines are too undirected? Especially for sensitive areas like the skin, try hatching it all on mone direction, so it will look smooth. Like how you did her boobs and hands, that part is lovely ^^.

The pencilwork is very nice in this piece, and all the little details in the framing are a treat to look at -- and don't think I didn't notice the small Egyptian-style eye!

Speaking of eyes, I'll just have to mention it looks a little strange to have her eyes at an angle to each other, if you see what I mean. One eye is seen almost straight on, while the other is angled away from the viewer. Human eyes are usually pointed straight forward.

Anyway, the drawing is rendered with a light and appealing touch, and the fabrics are well stylized. Good job, I really like it!
